    The intermidiate level is for those swimmers looking to perfect their strokes and diving. Swimmers should have a good background in all strokes. Intense swimming at this level.This is a group lesson of up to 10 participants with 2 lifeguard instructors.

    322100 - Boys Basketball Leagues

    Volunteer coaches are needed for all leagues!

    Boys basketball leagues are offered for children in Kindergarten through 12th grade. The season runs Nov. through March and takes place at various schools around Trumbull. Below the different leagues are listed with the loctions and the times that games are played.

    Registration has closed online for grades K-9. Must come into office to register.

    Boys Basketball Leagues Schedule:
    K & 1st Grade: Saturdays at Frenchtown between 12noon-4pm
    2nd Grade: Saturdays at Daniels Farm between 1pm-4pm
    3rd Grade: Saturdays at Middlebrook between 8am-11am
    4th Grade: Tuesdays or Thursdays at Jane Ryan between 6pm-9pm
    5th & 6th Grades: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday at Daniels Farm between 6-9pm
    or Saturdays at Daniels Farm between 8am-11am
    7th-9th Grades: Monday or Wednesday at Hillcrest between 6pm-9pm
    or Saturdays at Hillcrest between 8am-12noon
    10th-12th Grades: Tuesdays or Thursdays at Hillcrest between 6pm-9pm

    Tryouts

    Grades 10-12: TBD based on THS Fall sports season. Email notification sent when set.

    Boys leagues in grades K-3 are practices and scrimmages with volunteer coaches. There are no officials or scorekeeping. Teams are also formed in the office, no tryout or draft.

    Leagues for Grades 4 and up will recevie a tryout date and draft held with volunteer coaches. Schedules are distributed after the draft.

    323104 - Babysitting Training Crse

    The American Red Cross is the nation’s leader in babysitter training and will prepare you to be the best sitter in your neighborhood. This 7 hour course will provide youth, who are planning to babysit, the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. 8 in 10 surveyed parents said they would pay pay more for a trained babysitter who is certified by the Red Cross. Start your babysitting business on the right foot and learn how to be a safe, professional and reliable sitter. Certification classes include free digital CPR certificate, valid for 2 years, plus access to digital learning materials.

    This class takes place at Middlebrook Elementary School in the Cafe. Students should bring a refillable water bottle and a lunch.

    325601 - Future Stars Basketball

    This program is offered by Future Stars Academy. Trumbull residents receive a discount by registering through the parks and recreation department.

    A comprehensive basketball program which includes: instruction, game play, educational disciplines and “Lessons of Life” Program. Program uses lower hoops and junior basketballs. Parents can choose from multiple locations for this program.

    328600 - Childrens Volleyball Clinic

    A children’s volleyball clinic is offered for boys and girls ages 10-16. This clinic takes place on Tuesday nights at Middlebrook Elementary School from 7:00-9:00pm. Instructor Jon Bulkley and some volunteers will introduce the group to fundamentals of volleyball. Children will have the opportunity to learn and develop skills through various games and drills. Advanced techniques of the sport will also be taught as the group progresses.

    No meetings on 11/7, 12/26.

    Snow cancellations will not be made up.

    INSTRUCTOR: Cassandra Spadory is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Theater and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. She was a theater education apprentice with Hartford Stage in 2015 and has been a freelance teaching artist with the company ever since. Cassandra is passionate about both theater and education and loves to watch students explore their imaginations and play pretend.

    $60 (non-residents $75) Non-refundable.
    Class size is limited to 25. There must be a minimum of 12 students to hold these workshops class.

    340100 - Adult Water Fitness

    For men and women 18 years of age or older - most of this class takes place in shallow-water with an optional deep-water segment. You decide the intensity of the training that improves cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular fitness, and flexibility utilizing the physical laws and properties of water and aquatic fitness equipment.  Classes are divided into 10 week sessions with two classes per week.
    Recommendation: Bring a set of aqua bells to class.
