The Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP) - CT Aquatic Resources Education (CARE) program is offering a FREE fishing course!

12pm-3pm Fishing trip to Wolfe Park in Monroe
The CARE program's introductory fishing courses are held around the state and will teach you everything you need to know to get started fishing - where to go, how to tie a strong knot, what bait to use, how to indentfy and care for your catch, and much more!
Courses are designed for for people ages 8 & up, and consiost of two hours of classroom instruction and conclude with a fishing trip to a local waterbody. You will learn from the best, our passionate state certified fishing instructors.
Participants ages 16 & over should purchase a fishing license before the class. The license is valid for the enitre year and can be purchased online by clicking here.
10am-12pm - Classroom session at 366 Church Hill Rd.
12:30-3:00pm - Fishing at Wolfe Park in Monroe
